B. A. (Hons.) - Liberal Arts

NPAT (NMIMS Programs After Twelfth) test is mandatory for admission.

Admission Process:

Admissions are conducted in two stages, first at the university level (NMIMS) and then at the school level (JDSoLA)

Level I (NMIMS)

You register for the NPAT and choose JDSoLA as the school you are interested in. The exam will be held on the 9thand 10th of May, 2020. The NPAT is a common NMIMS university test that is the first level of application. It consists of Proficiency in English, Reasoning & General Intelligence, Quantitative & Numerical ability. For queries, fee structure, and procedures related to the NPAT, please go through the website www.npat.in and its FAQs page. Please note it is not possible to gain admission to JDSoLA without appearing for the NPAT. Students of all Boards (HSC, IB, CBSE) are all welcome, there are no separate procedures

A merit list is subsequently declared and the student will be invited to appear for the JDSoLA school-level entrance. Please note that queries related to NPAT are not handled by the school and should be directed to contacts on the website above.

Level II (JDSoLA)

The JDSoLA admission process has two components which will take place on the same day:

    1. Personal interaction with a 3-member panel. This will gauge the student’s motivation, personality, extra-curricular and co-curricular, general interests and their particular interest in the Liberal Arts program.
    2. A Written test which will allow the student to express their creativity, general knowledge, critical and independent thinking, and writing ability. There is no particular syllabus required for the test.

After completing the two stages:

  • Based on a combination of all three scores (NPAT, Personal Interaction, Written Test) we put out lists which offer admission to selected candidates.
  • Students choosing to join the JDSoLA have to follow up with the Admissions department which will follow through with the documentation and other formalities.
  • After completing admission formalities, we begin with an orientation program for the students followed by classes.

Additional details, including important dates/deadlines, are available on the ‘Admission Info’ page.
